Students' representatives
The Austrian National Union of Students (ÖH) supports students in a wide range of matters. Its responsibilities are broad, ranging from advice on matters of study law and study organisation to organising events and representing students in committees that draw up new curricula.
The students' representatives at the Faculty represent the interests of students and act as the interface to the lecturers and professors of our Faculty. Their main tasks include advice on matters of study organisation, representation in committees and conferences, preparing information material and organising events for students to network. As members of conferences, they work to improve studies and delegate committed students to habilitation and appointment procedures.
The ÖH elections take place every two years. Every student is entitled to vote at three levels: students' representatives (STV), Faculty representatives (FV) and University representatives (UV). Nationwide, students are represented by the Federal Representation (BV). Students can vote for candidates of their respective field of study and for factions standing at university and federal level.
